Resources
The following resources all have Age, Age Discrimination or Ageism as a key component. The new Equality Act 2010 addresses age discrimination by making Age one of the Protected Characteristics.
The population of the UK is getting older. By 2030, over half of the adult population will be over fifty and the number of people over eighty-five will have doubled. It is no longer acceptable to discriminate against older people either at work or outside work. The Equality Act introduces a new ban on age discrimination by those providing services and exercising public functions.
